Kiran has had a miscarriage, says Aamir Khan
New Delhi, Aamir Khan’s wife Kiran Rao has suffered a miscarriage, the Bollywood superstar disclosed Tuesday.

“I have bad news folks. Kiran and I lost our baby. Despite our best efforts we were unable to avert a miscarriage. The last two months have been a struggle for us and that is one of the reasons I was absent from the blog in more ways than one. I need time to heal. I will be away for a while,” Aamir posted on his blog aamirkhan.com.

The news of Kiran’s pregnancy surfaced when she was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai for fever in June. According to reports, she was three months pregnant at the time.

Now that Kareena Kapoor is finally going to be part of Saif Ali Khan’s production plans, no stone is being left unturned to ensure her presence is justified in the Khan-produced venture. Apparently, in the beginning, the leading lady’s role in Agent Vinod was relatively less substantial than Saif’s.

Says a source, “In fact Kareena wasn’t sure she wanted to do Agent Vinod because the title clearly indicated whom the film belonged to. But Saif convinced Kareena that her role would be on a par with his. Then he convinced Sriram with whom Saif has a deep rapport since they did Ek Hasina Thi together, to make sure Kareena’s presence in the film is justified.”

Mallika Sherawat New Bollywood Movie Hiss – Will it slither to success?

Jennifer Lynch’s latest venture will hopefully not face the same fate as her last venture Boxing Helena (1993), which won her a Raspberry award for the worst director in 1994. ‘HISSS’ her latest movie features Bollywood bombshell Mallika Sherawat along with another Indian actor Irrfan Khan. The movie also stars Divya Dutta & Jeff Doucette and is scheduled for an October release in the US.



The film was launched at Cannes with Mallika carrying a python around her neck. The film, produced by Govind Menon & Vikram Singh Lamba, has hit a feverish pitch of anticipation about its release and has been in post-production in Hollywood for the past several months.

The movie is based on a Far Eastern myth of the snake woman who is able to take on human form. The snake woman has been played by Mallika, who is looking the very best in her life in a very skimpy outfit in the movie. The makeup looks absolutely stunning on the beautifully endowed beauty with a slithery look to it. Mallika does infact look like a snake goddess with full poise and venomously dark looks. The tagline of the film is ‘She's sexy... venomous... and she'll swallow you whole...’.



World famous special effects designer Robert Kutzman is the one responsible for developing the look of the Snake Woman in the movie. The movie was shot in Kerala and parts of Mumbai. It was shot simultaneously in both Hindi and English. Incidentally the film was originally titled ‘Naagin’, but was later renamed as ‘Hisss’ keeping the global audience in mind. The trailer speaks about a mythological beast which will raise its hood whenever man’s atrocities increase and need to be kept in check.



Shot in a cloudy climate, the movie has a dark look to it and instantly comes up as a thriller with a lot of fast paced action and music to it. The make-up and costumes used in this movie are of top notch standard and this movie is one flick which has all that is needed for a film to be successful at the box office. A lot of films try to lay claim to the old ‘most anticipated film of the year’ tag, but on Tuesday night, it was clear that Avatar was indeed the biggest Hollywood film of the year amongst Bollywood’s Celebrity film buffs; it brought the Bachchans and the Khans onto the same blue carpet in a premiere rivaling the big Bollywood premieres. After 14 years of incubating in director James Cameron’s brain, Avatar, the once-ultra-secret project known as ‘Project 800’, finally premiered to an enraptured and appreciative Bollywood crowd.

Bollywood Hottest Actress Katrina Kaif and Bold Actor Salman Khan may be tight-lipped about their relationship status, but they have been voted the hottest couple of the decade in a poll by MSN India that also declared Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan the actor of the decade.

You may call it an irony of fate. Finally a Shahid and Kareena film is getting good reviews but now the couple has drifited apart and moved on with their lives. The two also locked their lips for last time in Imtiaz Ali's Jab We Met which is touted to be their their last film together.

According to sources, the rift appeared mid-way through the making of ‘Jab We Met’. When Shahid and Bebo began shooting the film they used to be upbeat and inseparable on the sets.

Half way through the film they were not the same anymore. Shahid began keeping to himself while Kareena used to be busy on her cell phone.

However, sources say, the two actors never let their personal differences affect their work.

So when director Imtiaz Ali asked them to shoot a passionate kissing scene, the two did not show any reservations.

Members from the film’s crew say Shahid and Bebo had no difficulty in stoking up passion and giving a perfect kissing scene.

accepted the role to add more variety to her list of assignments. “I don’t want the audience to get bored watching me play the same kind of roles. A producer saw the rushes of Tees Maar Khan and jumped out of his seat.

It’s also said that a song picturised on Kaif draws heavily from La Dixit’s Dhak dhak number from Beta. “Farah treats songs in her distinct style. I look up to Madhuri as an actress. For me, her performance and screen presence are an inspiration,” Kaif explains.

The actress is also excited about her belly-dancing track, Sheela ki jawani, which Khan has added to the movie. It will be shot later next month. Kaif is currently working with Zoya Akhtar on Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara in Spain. The film will release after Tees Maar Khan opens in December.

When quizzed Kaif about which lady director she prefers more, she says, “Their styles of presentation are completely different from each other. Farah presents women very elegantly depending on the character.

Zoya perceives them as strong characters. As women, they’re able to point out the nuances very well, especially Zoya.” The Raajneeti actress is also looking forward to Tarun Manshukhani’s Dostana sequel with Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham.

Reportedly, the actors are more keen to work with each other than the actress. Kaif shrugs, “I’m very happy. Tarun is excited about the way the story shapes up in Dostana 2. My role sounded interesting too.”

It’s also said that director duo, Abbas-Mustan, plan to cast her in their version of The Italian Job, also featuring Abhishek Bachchan and Neil Mukesh. “I’ve never believed in talking about my discussions with producers and directors till the projects aterialize,” states Kaif, pointing out, “Sometimes, lengthy discussions don’t lead up to anything. It makes more sense to talk about projects once they flag off.”
